On December 12, the Joseph Rainey Center for Public Policy and Americans for a Clean Energy Grid (ACEG) hosted a webinar to discuss the conservative case for transmission. Nearly all elements of modern life depend on reliable electricity, and the U.S. grid needs much more capacity to combat rising costs, prevent outages, and ensure everyone can access sustainable, domestic energy.

Panelists discussed the benefits of a modern grid and explored opportunities to build durable consensus on these issues.

Speakers included:

  • Moderated by Sarah Hunt — President, Joseph Rainey Center for Public Policy
  • Sarah Freeman — Commissioner, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission
  • John Szoka — CEO, Conservative Energy Network
  • Landon Stevens — Senior Program Director, ClearPath
  • Corey Schrodt — Director of Government Affairs, Niskanen Center
