Sarah Hunt, our co-founder and CEO, was recently quoted in an article by The Guardian about President Trump’s planned defense of “his industry-friendly rollbacks of environment protections,” expected to be announced next week.
Hunt points out that this effort may ignore the good results that the clean energy industry has already produced in the United States. “We’ve cut our emissions over 10% since 2005,” she said.
President Trump’s roll-back of regulations are viewed by some conservatives as being good for business, but Hunt explains that being good for business does not have to mean being bad for the environment. She said,
The president should be proud that American natural gas, wind and solar energy are creating jobs and fighting climate change. I would love to see him announce an initiative that will help our great American clean energy companies export their zero-carbon energy technology to the rest of the world.
