Garrison on MSNBC, says tariffs will have “long-term ramifications”

Bishop Garrison, co-founder and president of the Rainey Center, was a guest on MSNBC this week to discuss President Trump’s proposed tariffs on Mexico.

“This is going to have long-term, long-standing ramifications if it goes ahead,” Garrison warns. Lawmakers from both sides have been speaking out against tariffs on Mexico, and experts have raised concerns about the impact the tariffs will have on the economy and whether this is just political posturing to pressure Mexico to cooperate with the United States on border security.

“It’s going to be terrible for the American economy, terrible for manufacturers, terrible for American jobs,” Garrison stated.
