Garrison on MSNBC, members of Congress should be “more vocal” about the Mueller Report

By Jacqueline Isaacs

Bishop Garrison, co-founder and president of the Rainey Center, appeared on MSNBC this week to discuss the Mueller Report and Rep. Justin Amash’s (R-MI) surprising comment about President Trump.

In response to Rep. Amash’s statement that President Trump “has engaged in impeachable conduct,” Garrison said, “We need to see Republicans that are within the House and the Senate that have the courage to step forward,” but that Amash and other members of Congress “should be much more vocal overall, and they should have done so a long time ago.”

Garrison went on to explain that “the President has not done all that he can—this administration has not done all that it can—to support the efforts behind this report,” which he argues is problematic because “this is about bringing people to justice and ensuring that a foreign entity can’t be involved in our election process ever again.”
